Shri S.R. Kanthi Arts, Commerce, Science and B.C.A College, Mudhol was established in 1982 to impart higher education to the students in this area. Mudhol is the birth place of popular poet ‘Mahakavi Ranna’.
The college is situated in the heart of the town, surrounded by inspiring lakes. The college is affiliated to Rani Channamma University and is listed under 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act 1956. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), a statutory body of UGC has re-accredited this college for excellence of performance at ‘B++’ grade in the year 2017. The college offers four Under-graduation courses Arts, Commerce, Science & Computer Application and two Post-graduation courses M.A. (English) and M.Com.
The College has excellent infrastructure with qualified and dedicated staff members. The college is imparting quality education at affordable cost in a natural, peaceful and green campus. Our students have won many laurels in academic, sports, Co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Our N.S.S. Unit is awarded as best N.S.S. Unit by the Rani Channamma University Belagavi for the academic year 2014-15. Conscious and integrated efforts are made for the overall development of the students and to make them competent, useful and worthy citizens of the nation. The Management and Staff have seen endeavoring to promote human excellency with enhanced competency level.
The library, the heart and brain of the college has been housed in the 2nd floor of the college. It is build up 120 sqft length 40 sqft width120 seating capability of the students. It has worthy collection of 45,157 volumes with the selves. And 13.805 unique titles of Rs 64,34,933 worth. Our library is computerized with E-Lib Software. The library has subscribed about 40 journals/periodicals and 13 newspapers in Kannada, English languages. Also made available 2100 Online Journals and 5100 Books through the INFLIBNET consortium. The software is supported all its operations. The library consists of processing, membership, circulation of periodicals and OPAC. A complete bibliographical record of book collection is available and database, accessible through OPAC of the library.
Barcode labeling of Books, Journals and Students ID cards completed to enable both Laser Scanning and Manual Issue, Return and Stock examining the separate reading hall for ladies students. Book bank facility is also provided to the economically backward, sports and meritorious students on special occasion the library is organized the books exhibition.
